Two specific things that I didn't like about Axis & Allies was that the best purchasing strategy was to just buy all infantry (and transports to move them), and the best game strategy was to "clump" those units in massive stacks. As long as you have 2 Split Peas in the mine carts, 1-2 Snapdragons will keep you safe. And this goes without saying, but speed is so important in Dots.
