This collection contains nine letters dating from 1922-1971 that document Roland Hayes’ (1887-1977) friendship and business relationship with Kate Seaman and several other correspondents. The Arts and Industries Building closed to the public in 2004 and, in late 2005, the staff was transferred under the Office of Exhibits Central as the Special Exhibitions Division where they continued to develop and manage exhibitions in both public and office spaces in the Smithsonian Institution Building (otherwise known as the Castle) as well as in the International Gallery.
