The Niche is a moving image exhibition project in the Fine Arts Library at the University of Virginia. It is an authoritative source of information coming from European cultural and scientific institutions. He has curated exhibitions for the past twenty-five years, including the 2015 Lyon Biennale, and has contributed essays to numerous exhibition catalogues and books on artists such as David Hammons, Paul McCarthy, Raymond Pettibon, Luc Tuymans, Mike Kelley, and Anthony Hernandez (Anthony Hernandez: Pictures for Rome, 2000).

The work adopts the genre of Crested China, a type of souvenir-ware, which was at the height of its popularity during the First World War. Organized in celebration of the Clinton Presidential Library’s tenth anniversary, The Clinton Years: Political Cartoons by George Fisher featured work selected from the more than three thousand drawings contained in the Arts Center’s archive of the long-time Arkansas Gazette political cartoonist. Sprafkin's installation, She Would Have Thought Twice, Possibly Three Times, includes more than 1600 prints and drawings, large and small, new and older. In this event, there may be a slight delay in shipping and possible variation in description. The exhibition was supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the United States.
